MENU

We are a family of winegrowers from the Uco valley dedicated to crafting premium wines with passion and excellence, using grapes from our own vineyards in three outstanding terroirs: Vista Flores, Los Chacayes, and Colonia Las Rosas.

Finca del Nunca Jamás was born from the dream of Caroline Loock & Diego Stortini to give new life to the family legacy in this agroecological paradise where time has stood still for them. Anchored in the present and with a vision for the future, they are committed to the new Argentine winemaking, with the construction of a premium wine winery and a firm commitment to sustainability and wine tourism.

Family of grape growers from the Uco Valley

Finca del Nunca Jamás emerged as we felt ourselves drawn back by history, through the decision to revive the vineyards that nurtured four generations of winegrowers.

The story of our family mirrors the history of viticulture in Argentina itself: from the arrival of grape growing to these lands, at the hands of European immigrants at the end of the 19th century (in our case, from the south of Spain to Vista Flores with the arrival of the railway), to the development of an early viticulture focused on domestic consumption, and later the transformation of vineyards toward premium varieties—always with the ups and downs and anecdotes typical of small producers.

Our story is one of a dream to return to the land, to recover and honor our history, to understand and reinterpret the terroir, and to embrace what it means to be a winegrower today —with respect for every vine, commitment to our environment, and a constant dialogue with wine lovers around the world.

Agroecological vineyards with organic certification from the Organización Internacional Agropecuaria – OIA (International Agricultural Organization).

Convinced that the future of humanity lies in agroecology, which also plays a crucial role in shaping wine characteristics, Finca del Nunca Jamás converted its vineyards to agroecological farming ahead of its time, and obtained the organic certification from the OIA, which currently serves as the certifying body

For us, it is of vital importance to conduct the daily practices that drive us to pursue an agriculture that is biodiverse, free of inputs, and alive. Everything that comes from the soil returns to the soil, completing a full cycle on our beloved estate.

We do not use synthetic inputs, including fertilizers, fungicides, and herbicides. Instead, we rely on mechanized and technological farming methods, as well as the use of natural products based on minerals and plants, when necessary, to repel and control pests that could attack our vineyards.

Similarly, we strive every day to reduce the overall use of inputs and achieve a better balance and diversity of the soil. We prioritize prevention over cure to maintain the health of our vineyards, giving life to the soil

in three different terroirs of the Uco Valley

Undoubtedly, the appreciation for vineyard work and terroir has been transmitted through generations. We are convinced that everything starts in the vineyard, in each terroir.
Every grapevine is an obsession in our family, from pruning to harvesting.

In recent years, we have diligently worked to recover old vineyards, aiming to improve the balance and expression of the plants every day.

We have 3 estate-owned vineyards located in 3 distinct terroirs of the Uco Valley. This allows us to engage in long-term vineyard work and design each wine from the same vineyard, maintaining precise control over the entire process from start to finish.

In Vista Flores (23 ha), the terroir is characterized by loamy soils with river stones in the subsoil, providing excellent drainage capabilities. The plants are older, ranging from 35 to 80 years of age. The altitude is 1100 masl. The vine training system is conducted using pergolas and irrigated through the traditional furrow irrigation method.

The planted grape varieties include Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pedro Ximenez (80 years old) and Sauvignon Blanc.

The wines we elaborate from this terroir exhibit great balance. They are highly aromatic, fruity, and well-structured. They stand out for the remarkable harmony between concentration, structure, and aromatic expression.

In Los Chacayes, we have 12 ha of Malbec, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. The vine training is done using modern trellis systems, and drip irrigation, plant by plant, is technically controlled through pipelines. The soil is mainly composed of river stones and very little sand. The altitude is 1350 masl.

The climate conditions are very extreme, with summer temperature range of around 25 degrees Celsius (37 degrees during the day and 12 degrees at night), and cool night winds that cause stress to our vines. These conditions force the plants to make a significant effort to extract the necessary nutrients for survival. The wines from this terroir exhibit clear concentration and structure. They are robust wines with remarkable aging potential.

In Colonia Las Rosas, the soil is clay loam with abundant organic matter and sedimentary rocks, particularly limestone. It is a very cold area surrounded by natural springs.

Our vineyard covers 10 ha of Malbec, trained using trellis systems, with technically controlled drip irrigation for each plant. Currently, we are experimenting with Gobelet training in 2 ha of Sauvignon Blanc. This vineyard has 20-year-old plants and is located at 1050 masl.

We elaborate white, rosé, and red wines characterized by their fruity nature, with aromas of fresh fruits, persistence, and mouth-filling volume.

BOUTIQUE WINERY

Our boutique winery was built with the intention of ensuring optimal conditions for premium and ultra-premium wine making. Currently, we have a fermentation and storage capacity of about 200,000 liters, allowing us to produce 260,000 bottles of wine.

In the harvest area, stainless steel sorting tables with belt are available to enable manual selection, so that only the best clusters are used for vinification.

Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks of various sizes, ranging from 1000 to 10000 liters. In some cases, wine is fermented in French oak barrels.

For our premium red wines, we apply pre-fermentation maceration techniques and sangría (liquid extraction), which help us achieve the appropriate structure and concentration for age-worthy wines.

Fermentation occurs at temperatures between 15 and 24 degrees Celsius, using 100% natural products without any intervention.

Our white wines are aged using a combination of stainless-steel tanks and French oak barrels, totally designed for white wine aging. As for our red wines, they are all aged in French oak barrels of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd use.

FINCA DEL NUNCA JAMÁS

Finca del Nunca Jamás – Neverland in Spanish- is the name we chose to tell our story in a fantastical way. It refers to the creation of our small agroecological paradise, where time stood still for our family, and where we began to unleash our dreams and live in harmony with nature. Peter Pan and the Galleon of eternal dreamers blend with the passion and professionalism with which we craft our wines, full of magic and charm.

THE WINES

CAPITULO I

Capitulo I, “Where time stood still,” refers to the present moment and the importance of terroir and its expression in each varietal. The label depicts an old Roman clock surrounded by the central characters of our story: the fauna and flora of our land. You can observe typical animals from the region and the vine itself which interrupt the clock, symbolizing the place where time stood still for our family, where we began to live in harmony with nature. This line represents our classic wines, where we aim to showcase varietal typicity and terroir expression. All our wines age for 8 months in French oak barrels and traceability is conducted in their respective vineyards of origin (geographic identification).

CAPITULO II

Capitulo II, “The Tale of the Great Journey,” refers to the past and the aspirations of an immigrant family in search of the promised land. It represents the story of our family, the fourth generation of Spanish and Italian immigrants, which resonates with the experiences of many Argentine families.

This line represents our age-worthy wines and undergoes 12 to 14 months of aging in 1st and 2nd use French oak barrels.

ETCÉTERA

Etcetera refers to the future and constant innovation. These wines are limited editions that captivate with their unique varietal, experimental vineyard management, or distinctive winemaking methods. Symbolically depicted on the label is an adventurous girl, riding a fox and looking towards the future through a telescope in a vineyard forest.
